At the moment we are going to buy a computer hardware, whether it is the CPU.Memory, hard disk etc. one of the factors that we want to know the speed and performance of these components. Hard drive or SSD drives are today already have astorage capacity that is so great and so does the speed of write and read it. A similarcase also happened in a storage medium that is commonly used today, namely theUSB flashdisk, many of us are not so care about writing and reading speed of a USBpendrive and only care to its storage capacity only.
With a storage capacity of a USB Pendrive which is currently on the rise, if you buy ahigh-capacity Flash siraat amounted to 64 GB but with read and write speeds are slow, of course it will take a long time to load a large file into it, not just a waste of time and money, but can be frustrating.
If you already purchased a usb pendrive or already have a USB pendrive and want to know the performance or speed of write and read (R/W), here I will share the software that will help us to figure it out.
- USBDeview
USBDeview is a portable utility by Nirsoft which allows you to remove the list andpreceding USB devices attached to your computer. Another feature is the option to benchmark the flash drive and the option to publish the results of the speed Test toNirsoft web page to see the comparison.
- SspeedOut
SpeedOut is a small tool, simple and portable that can rapidly measure sequential read and write speeds of Your flash drive. This program runs a test at low levels (need to run as admin) which means that the value is not affected by the file system drives. Simplychoose your USB drive from the drop down menu if you have more than one usb drive, and 4 passes will run SpeedOut for both reading and writing tests, and then displaysthe average value for each. Score can be saved or copied by right-clicking on the titlebar. SpeedOut will not damage files and the files are overwritten tikak and flash drivedoes not need to be formatted to run tests.
- USB Flash Benchmark
This is the program plain and simple speed tests for USB flash drives that will run a full set of benchmark tests for speed from 16 MB up to 1 k chunks, and displays the results in a graph.
Usb Flash Benchmark
This is the program plain and simple speed tests for USB flash drives that will run a full set of benchmark tests for speed from 16 MB up to 1 k chunks, and displays the results in a graph.
Other software that can be used to test the speed of the usb pendrive: Check Flash, CrystalDiskMark and Flash Drive/Card Tester
